“I’m just trapped in a big, dumb body!” Says Aquaman Actor

Jason Momoa aka Aquaman’s physicality is arguably one of his most defining features. Momoa’s enviable build has no doubt been an advantage in preparation for his recent role as Arthur Curry, otherwise known as Aquaman, on the big screen.

In a recent interview with Mirror UK, the actor revealed that contrary to what many may assume, among his many muscles, his heart is one of the biggest, and his time on the Aquaman set saw him shed a couple tears.

”I’m the biggest drama queen on the set. I was constantly crying,” Momoa said.

He went on to reveal that his upbringing and the teachings of his single mother played a big role in shaping him into the emotional human being that he is today.

“I’m not going to normally get hired to play those emotional things – and I’m capable of it,” Momoa he added. “I’m just trapped in a big, dumb body!”

Momoa has also hinted at the fact that the upcoming DC film will allow fans to learn about parts of Aquaman’s character that haven’t been explored on film before. Despite the fact that Arthur made his big screen debut as part of the Justice League last year, the character’s past and traumas were not thoroughly explored.

Aquaman is scheduled to hit theatres on December 21, 2018. Will you be watching?
